New Contract at Holsum Bakery in Indiana (1/8/09)

On Saturday, December 26, the semi drivers and route salesmen at Holsum Bakery in Fort Wayne, Indiana, unanimously ratified a new three-year pact. The Local 835 members are already enjoying the benefits of the new agreement, which provides pay increases for many of the functions the workers perform.

There are increases in base rates, and mileage, terminal stops, store door and distributor stops, pick up and returns, and weekly guarantee.
The new contract also provides improvements in vacation, company pension contributions, holiday pay, and job bidding. Most importantly, the health insurance coverage is protected and maintained by the new agreement.
